Hi! We’re Gemma Lyness and Ian Loseby, two individuals who believe in the transformative power of branding. To us, brands are endlessly flexible tools that help drive organisational change, simplify communications, elevate experiences and inspire people from all walks of life. What makes us happy is getting to know our clients, uncovering the things that make their businesses special and creating brands that bring their uniqueness to life.
I’ve 15 years of experience in creative agencies and love the process of transformation you see as you go about rebranding a business. I love getting to know my clients as people, finding out what makes their business special, getting under the skin of their audience and digging out those nuggets of insight that can help them stand out in their sector. I get great satisfaction from the measurable stuff, like increased sales. But also from the confidence that rebranding instills in staff. I love seeing businesses become re-energised and the fulfilment everyone gets from having a shared sense of purpose.
After running a branding agency for 25 years, I wanted a change. So, I swapped the all-encompassing, behind-the-scenes responsibility of running an organisation for a more engaged, hands-on role. Rather than spending my time being a business leader, I now work with business leaders, mixing insightful strategy with phenomenal design to create brands that are unique and inspiring. I love working with entrepreneurial companies that are trying to do something different and make the world a richer place.
Fundamentally, I believe in ideas – ideas that can change the way we think and act. I’m a freethinker so believe that anything’s possible, you just need to find a way to do it.
Unlike most agencies, we dedicate ourselves to just one or two projects at a time. Only then can we we immerse ourselves in your business. We get to understand your personality, your points of difference and your unique challenges, which helps us transform the way you communicate. By giving each project our full attention we become part of your team, ensuring a deeper understanding and a really enjoyable experience for everyone.
By giving each project our full attention we become part of your team, ensuring a deeper understanding and a really enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Regardless of their size, most agencies are juggling lots of different projects, so you’re not always a priority. With us, you’re always number one.
Over the years, we’ve built up a strong network of creative talent. People we know can deliver. Whatever project you ask us to tackle, we’ll pick the perfect team for the challenge.
Unlike most agencies, we don’t ask the same team of in-house creatives to tackle every job. Instead, we select the perfect blend of skills to suit each project. And because we only work on a small number of projects at a time, we make sure every brief is inspiring to get the absolute best from every one.
Where do great creative ideas come from? Great creative ideas come from great understanding. And that’s why we keep telling our clients just how much research and strategy matter. Creative thinkers don’t pluck great ideas out of thin air. They need to be armed with meaningful insights and a clear strategic direction, so they have everything they need to craft work that’s distinctive, effective and refreshingly new.
We take a long, hard look at you, your goals, your customers and your market. This helps us dig out the most compelling insights to make your brand distinctive.
We distil down our insights, then work with you to find a clear territory and direction that will make your brand unique.
Otherwise known as “the exciting bit”, this creative leap is where all the hard strategic work becomes tangible, inspiring creative ideas.
However you’re communicating, we collaborate with printers, developers and filmmakers to give you marketing that works harder.
We’ll help you to win the hearts of your audience, stand out against your competitors, and stand up for what you truly believe in.
